In Sydney Airport

I have my new friend Billy here with me, the internet "e-lounge" thing officially sucks ****
Stayed up till 4am, hop on the shuttle bus, got on airplane, took them damn long time to move the plane into the runway, now I'm here listening to broadcast of all the damnasses that missed out their fligh...

It's another 9+ hours of joy, I wish I have my computer with me... :'(

nothing new for the time being, I will update more information when Jesus apears or something.
meh, I need sleep and food and compter games, too tired for thoughts and comtemplations.

PS: this post was a pain in the ass to fix the font, don't even think about doing this in Chinese.

11:55AM Aussie time, cloudy, hungry.

Public announcement

well, um, hi guys :)

I know I've been missing out quite a few days worth of blog entries (partially due to the fact that university ended, and there's no more self-distracting from study needed anymore), and leaving my last entries at some bomb making tutorial is somehow inappropirate, so I decided to present to you something special...

You see, I am going oversea to Taiwan on Saturday *dances*

So hopefully, I will give you a picture blog tour of my hometown where I came from.

I was already talking alot of stuff with my friends and people on IRC, I don't know why but I have feeling that this time, going back to Taiwan will feel rather different.

now for the Chinese translation.

Fun with fireworks

Had a good time last night with some Guy Fawkes leftover. Sparklers are probably the most common fireworks you can get your hands on, and since we are all responsibile grown ups now, it is only appropriate to add a little bit more spice to the old recipe ;)

Before we start I will have to warn you, in modifying your fireworks like this, it would probably be illegal for your region, just like taking an axe and smash up your neighbor's car. So I'm simply describing what can be done, which doesn't mean you should do it, it's your own choice.

Now, to make a good fun loud sparkler bomb you will need:
  • 10+ sparklers (those thing with grey magnesium stuff on a metal wire, the more the marrier)
  • lots and lots of tape (duct tape, or in my case transparent wrapping tape)
  • a lighter

Figure 1 - Equipment needed. Posted by Hello

Method:
  1. Get the sparklers and make them into a bundle, with the grey thick part pointing to the same direction.

  2. Pull one sparkler half way out of the bundle to act as a fuse, with the grey part still half within the bundle. You want enough length sticking out so you will have enough time to run, but also enough bits inside the rest of the sparklers so it will trigger the reaction.

  3. Start wrapping the whole thing with tape. This works better if there's two people, one holds onto the sparkler bundle, the other one hold onto the tape.

  4. Start wrapping VERY VERY tightly for MANY layers. With the wrapping tape we had, we pulled so hard that it streched and broke the tape, but the idea is to keep it air tight, so it will go out with a boom. Make sure you sealed the hole between the fuse sparkler and the bundle of the sparkers on top properly.

This step is crucial for the explosion to work, too little tape would melt under the heat of the sparkler, and all you will get is a giant sparkler.

Figure 2 - Your end product should look something like this, you don't need to cover all the way down to the wire handle, it's only the crazy American who took this photo. (stole the photo somewhere from google) Posted by Hello

  5. Find somewhere nice and remote (e.g. a park) plan your escape route.

  6. Plant the sparkler with the metal wire handle bit into the ground, so it stands by itself. This is better than placing it sideways because a) the moisture on the ground affects the bruning, b) the heats goes up and reduces the melting of tapes.

  7. Light the top fuse sparkler, walk away quickly. The bomb might be more powerful than you thought.

If all goes according to plan, you will hear a loud explosion, and a white flash.
There are several ways to add more fun into the design, this is merely the simplest and most economical setting. You can miss out the tapes if you just want a big massive sparkling flameball. You can add more casing to the tape structure to give it more bang.

Been busy

Today I've been very productive in doing this such as:
  • sleeping
  • eating
  • tv
  • staring into blank space
and that's why I recommand this cunning little programme so you can keep track of time like me.

Rainlendar

Not only it is an eye candy, but it also does all the simple things you need to keep track of all your time wasting activities. A nice looking calendar, with a popup apointments reminder, a to-do list. They all sit on your desktop quietly without wasting your system resource, and blends in with your beloved family photo wall paper like your long forgotten third child...

the actual configuration might be a drag because it is written in a semigeek language, but once you've got it exactly the way you like it, you will appreciate how this little programme helps to remind you that Sunday is for taking rubbish out.

my short, crisp, political propaganda Posted by Hello

Finally

Finally finished my chemistry exam... so tired, mind is a blank and the news that Bush won the election doesn't help either... Maybe it's time for me to realise, that people from different cultural backgrounds can be very different (so different that they are willing to vote for a monkey in this case *shurg* ) and this difference has been widened because of arrogance, not realising that they are no longer the world leader in democracy, liberty, and freedom.

Sigh... that should be enough anti-american sentiment for the day. I need to finish my beer for the time being ~_~

PS: starting to get the hang of blogger's unintuitive system now, should start writing something decdent sometimes, somewhere, somehow.

Today Baghdad, Tomorrow Paris... Posted by Hello

Great way to start off the morning...

Chills your head with some sobering video, kicks you back into reality fast...

http://www.militaryvideos.net/

You hear some of those people making jokes, but you can also hear how nervous they are... I guess that's what war is all about, well, at least for the winning side. I can already imagine the amount of Iraqi civilian casulties, yes it's inevitable for this type of war, and that's why it should be avoided.

you will need bit torrent or alternatives to download those clips
download it here

video goes well with this this .

Why oh why...

Today is this first day of history, that I, a random who would like to remain anonymous will again start another crappy diary, but this time, it online for every one of you internet scumbags to see.

I would like to remain anonymous because I believe speaking from the dark, with a limited medium enables the speaker to speak out at ease, I've done a little bit of psych, and according to that big thick paperweight known as a text book: people inhibits their expression with the perceived presence of others, so if I feel that people won't be able to notice me, I wll be able to rant on whatever shit at my heart's content.

So, here it is. My declaration of establishment, the first slate, the small small step for me, a giant step for, anyway where was I?

As this is my diary, it will be written (or in this case typed) in both English and Traditional Chinese, because I feel like it, I will try and give a little bit of explaination when it's in Chinese if you are lucky, but we will see.

It's 12:09AM, and I have a Chemistry exam tomorrow, why am I sitting here talking to myself?

I don't know.
